M.C.J. was born and raised in the craft beer wasteland that is Sydney’s North Shore. Upon moving to the Inner West in 2015 and feeling overwhelmed yet enticed by the number of craft breweries in the area, she began writing about her new adventures for a website no one read (and probably still don’t).
Somehow, she landed a gig writing about Sydney’s beer scene for Melbourne-based Froth Craft Beer Magazine and shortly after that, became a regular contributor for the The Crafty Pint. Her favourite achievement was winning Champion Craft Beer Writer during the Sydney Craft Beer Awards, second only to her ability to write about herself in the third person.
When she’s not drinking beer or writing about it, she spends the rest of her free time completing a PhD in experimental quantum physics.
