With what is probably the longest time between establishing a beer brand and building a brewery, Endeavour waited six long years to put down roots and have left no room for compromise. The mammoth venue in The Rocks lies halfway between the Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge and boasts countless little cosy rooms, two bars, a meat smoker, kitchen, outdoor area and somehow, a brewery. It’s here that unique creations, as varied and worldly as the tourists buzzing around outside, pour alongside the original Vintage beers that were a staple of the brand for so long.
You must try: Endeavour IPA, a favourite for visitors to Sydney looking for a taste of Aussie hops.
Did you know? The meaning of the “vintage” label is similar to that of wine, indicating that all the ingredients used in the beer were harvested in the same year.
